Nature’s Wisdom: Daily Life

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of posts all over social media about the present moment and being present. It got me thinking about what this meant from the point of view of Nature.

My day to day is very repetitive and punctuated by doing the same routine, each day seemingly a repetition of the previous one. I sometimes have a hard time finding the motivation to keep writing.

Nature’s wisdom always brings me back into my life and puts things in perspective to motivate me to keep going.
I look around at how beautiful Nature is and how she is present in her daily life.

Here is what I learned from Nature’s wisdom about our daily life.

Nature builds FROM today, not FOR tomorrow. It creates itself daily, one moment at a time, one day at a time and its power lies in today.

The daily life is unassuming, just ticking by one second at a time. This is where Nature has the power to make a difference while valuing the present moment and the day to day.

Nature’s daily life allows her to take command of those areas that need her attention. She can separate paths from a previous season and live a renewal that brings her to the path of the next season or the next transformation. It’s not a daily life of pain but a daily life of choices and engagement, being true, creative and finding ways to develop to the next phase of her journey.

This internal connection to the daily reality can reveal hidden or secret capacities to cope with the reality that Mother Nature must face.

Nature is all about valuing every single organism, every day, every minute no matter which stage of the growth phase it is in.

Daily life in Nature is:

  • An invitation of collaboration and growth by each organism being whole in who they are, yet able to unite to others to support, collaborate, cooperate, unify and contribute what it is.
  • Changes happening subtly, an accumulation taking place, looking like yesterday yet different. Moving in time, resembling each other yet changing over time.
  • The flow of giving and receiving in Nature since each singular contribution helps to support Nature in its existence.

Nature’s capacity to live today gives her everything she requires to create change, growth, rest, collaboration or whatever she needs to respond to the present situation. Nature doesn’t look outside of the present moment or outside of its daily life to find the answers on how to create today.

Take the change of season that is taking place right now. To help Nature get through this transformation, the leaves of the trees are changing colors, falling to the ground, covering the earth to protect it for the winter months. The plants are slowly wilting so that they can rest through the winter months and survive the cold. Each organism continuing what has already been established in the summer months. The transformation is not about stopping anything, it’s about a continuity of a process that is ongoing in Nature.

So, daily life in Nature is about creating something from today. Showing up, engaged in her transformation, repeating the days so that a shift in seasons can take place and making the adjustments needed to perpetuate her existence.

I know that sometimes our own day to day life can wear us out, in those moments where you get tired and uninspired remember to take a deep breath and reconnect with Nature’s Wisdom of a daily life. This is where the magic takes place, where we have the power to make a difference and where we can make the choices to create what looks and feels like us. Exactly like Nature.
