Nature’s Wisdom: Pleasure
It’s Friday night after a long week. I’m stressed, tired, exhausted and everything seems to be ‘the end of the world’. Have you ever had those times where you forget to enjoy what it is that you are working for? On that particular night, I received the best wisdom from Nature. I’m sharing it with you.
On that Friday night, I want to unwind after my week. I sit outside to enjoy being enveloped in this night’s beauty, sounds and magic while sitting around a beautiful fire. Nature reminds me that nothing that I do has any meaning if I do not allow myself to be present and enjoy the beauty of the life and simple pleasures that I am creating.
Nature’s wisdom is always available for us, waiting, holding space, allowing and welcoming who we are, in the state that we are in, at that moment.
Nature is all about allowing the space for the moments to take shape. We must make the decision to take advantage of those moments. That decision can only be made if we are present to each moment of our own life. Nature never gets so caught up with creating and growing that the joy is removed from its transformation. The birds still sing, the squirrels are as playful as ever, the leaves dance in the wind, enjoying those precious moments of calm winds, even after it has been whipped around by a storm.
Nature allows us that space to listen to ourselves and really hear our own internal voice. Not the mental chatter. That deep connection that is only available to us when we strip away everything else and are left with the real, raw beauty and sound of who we are; exactly like Nature. This is when we can enjoy, play and allow the pleasures of that moment to fill us.
Playing and enjoying is a necessary part of all transformation.
Nature’s playfulness shows us Mother Nature’s sense of humor. Mixing different textures, colors and life forms together like having beautiful flowers grow with thorns on the stems. Or putting the same colors on animals and playing around with where and how these color show up; such as black and white that we can find on a loon, a skunk, a raccoon just to name a few. What to say about the warm weather bringing back the mosquitoes with a vengeance.
The playful sense of humor of Mother Nature reminds us that in all situations, there is a spectrum of things to look for. All the fun and joy is present when we allow ourselves to focus on that part of Nature.
Allowing us to put aside for a time, the stress, the inconvenience and the ‘other side’ of the coin to truly connect with the reason we are doing this.
Walking out in Nature, breathing in the pleasure of being surrounded by this playful, joyful and bountiful energy that is present in that moment, makes the heartache disappear in this celebration of beauty, so that I may enjoy these simple pleasures.
What joy and pleasure have you been overlooking on your way to creating your life and your dream? Nature reminds us that showing up, doing the work and then breathing the beauty in will allow those moments of pause to fill you up and fuel you to keep going.
Enjoying the beauty, the peaceful calmness, the steady pace of growth and transformation in Nature that is ever present at this time of year, only serves as a reminder to enjoy and take pleasure in our everyday activities and daily lives.
